11/22/63

“The past can change. Even if it doesn’t want to.”

This is a drawing I did inspired by Stephen King’s brilliant novel 11/22/63.

I cheated a little with Kennedy here, I tried to find the most instantly recognizable image of him and I traced the outline of his head into the background.  But I drew in all his features on my own, and anyway I just kinda wanted his image as a ghost in the background, and concentrate more on creating an original interpretation of the 2 main characters of the novel, Jake and Sadie.  Definitely prefer cartooning, I find drawing “realistic” exhausting, but it was fun to look up hairstyles and fashion in the 1950s!
